Also, agree that Natalie Portman, who won best actress for The Black Swan, certained deserved it but personally that movie was not for me, much too dark! Guess what I found out yesterday! Australian TV are going to air Solomon Kane, what a suprise pity they couldn't have shown it on the big screen first

I wasnt too keen on the black swan either, some of those silly effects, another over-rated film in my opinion.

There were several similar conversations going on around us Nevertheless, as you said, Ms Portman deserved her Oscar Have been watching Hawaii Five-O, it's certainly different than the original, but I like it, mainly because of Alex O'Loughlin

Oh i must try and watch Alex in that! He's awesome, recently started showing it here but I can't wait, have to get the episodes right after they have aired in the US. I think Scott Caan is good too as Danny and the interaction between Steve and Danny is great

Game of Thrones I can't await to watch the final episode, it's so exiting! This series is based only on the first book, there are about eight I think, I've read the first four so far ;D The writers and directors are doing a really good job with their adaptation, brilliant in fact, I'm loving it too

This epic series of books is called 'A Song of Ice & Fire' with 'A game of Thrones' being the first one. I think there are about eight books altogether, I've read the first four (so far) by George R.R. Martin - a quote on the cover of the first book reads 'Fantasy literature has never shied away from grandeur, but the sheer mind-boggling scope of this epic has sent other fantasy writers away shaking their heads.. It's ambitious: to construct the Twelve Caesars of fantasy fiction, with characters so venomous they could eat the Borgias' from the Guardian !! It starts off set in a time similar to our 10th/12th centuries with Lord Eddard Stark (played by Sean Bean) being summons to court to be King Robert's (his friend from boyhood) marshall or as they call it 'The Hand of the King' there are plots within plots, thankfully Mr Martin is a very good story teller.... I enjoyed the books and the TV series is very true to the books (for once) ;D
