Am I the only one who has managed to see our lovelies latest film? I enjoyed it, yes it was bloody and gruesome, but that's how it was in the 13th century. The film was good, didn't exaggerate history too much, and our baby was awesome as usual, more like Solomon Kane than King Lot. Paul Giamanti was brilliant as the tyranical King John threw several pretty good tantrums very O.T.T.

You are lucky child to see Ironclad!I am sure it is brilliant movie.I red James is absolutely perfect in.How else. Theme of crusades and faith against kings, who were cruel is interesting very often, but english directors are best in that! I am glad, that Jonathan English decided to make the movie...MAGNA CHARTA was very important document in this era.Even today it would be helpful!

I do so hope it gets released here and I won't have to wait for the DVD...again!!

I just watched Ironclad,I can to write just one word:FASCINATING!!! I adore this story of few men,who could to claim their castle to last breath!!! All of characters are amazing everybody actors play so amazing in.I was absolutely thrilled. And James´ Thomas is adorable,he doesn´t speak too much but his eyes, gests, looks and acting speak, his role is fascinating in every moment when he is on the screen and chemistry between him and Kate is unbelievable....lovely relationship without sex scenes, just tender kisses and soft looks no more and this is just so lovely. Marshall is broken man without loving memories, but Isabel gave him hope and lost feeling. Wonderful even so some of scenes are very bloody and cruel but Ironclad stays very powerful movie with deep mission! Bravo Jonathan English!!!

I just got back from the LA premiere of Ironclad at the LA Art Museum - in honor of their Magna Carta Exhibition (pretty cool - I hadn't seen one before). I even had a champagne cocktail sitting next to Jonathon English. I didn't know he was the director until he got on stage to present the film, although I knew there was something up with him when I saw he was wearing light brown shoes with a black linen suit. He looks a little like an Italian hairdresser - but nevermind all that.
The film!
I hated it.
Not to be a negative Nelly - but I seriously thought is sucked.
James, of course, was AWESOME. He should wear a dress all the time. He is just riveting and perfect in the role of a noble warrior.
But I hated that blurry, jumpy, choppy, video game sequencing. I hated it A lot. I wasn't crazy about the pervasive grime and filth either. Although James' face is surprisingly handsome when spattered with blood.
I still hope I'm just being prissy and middle-aged (which I am - both) and that the film is great and does well and that James makes a million trillion dollars and then does a movie for his lady fans (like me) with some dialogue. In bed.
Amen.

I´ve seen Ironclad 3 times already and I am still exiting from it.It is fantastical movie, not only because James plays in but generally.Fantastical acting all of them. And Thomas Marshall is second best role of James after Solomon in my opinion! Amazing directed, camera, effects music by Lorne Balfe is perfect...just about everything! I have not seen such a strong and excellent movie. But I can to understand this film is not for everybody, there is lot of blood, violence and dirty but The Middle Ages was such as... Hard, bloody, savage and cruel! I am glad in Ironclad is no sex or love drama, relationship of Thomas and Isabel is only the minor.Mainly is story about heroism, courage and brave of the few men! However, the relationship of Thomas and Isabel is tender, emerging and full of emotions! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!Beacuse it has big message! "There is the worth in every death and I will see it now in yours!!!" Attachments:

I will go see this film when it comes to my neck of the woods, even though it's not my "cup of tea". As I get older, I find I am more sensitive to the violence that so many people are use to. But I really liked 300. I think it was all those men!!!

Ive not seen it yet, but most people who have seen it said the same about the camera. I don't usually like the scenes where the camera is 'hand held' but in this case I thought it did a lot to detract from the VIOLENCE which suited me fine. Anyroadup I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I'd watch his loveliness read the telephone directory anyday
