Hi, Everyone!
My English is not very nice, I come from Quebec, Canada. Anyways, what do you think about James Purefoy to be the next James Bond???
I don't know why he have not been 007 yet... I'm very disappointed...
Do you think he have a chance?

This has been talked about a lot in the past, he was one of many considered for the role but it was not to be. Although I like James Bond movies (well most of them) and just know James would have been perfect for the part, I didn't want him to be 'typecast' and miss out on more important and challenging movies. Now it will never happen, partly because of his age and I don't think James would accept anyway. Just my opinion

No I don't think James will be playing James Bond anytime soon, I think he is maybe too old now. I'm fairly sure DC has another Bond movie to do before his contract runs out. Went to see a film recently - "Limitless" seemed to me it was a pretty good showcase for putting Bradley Cooper forward as the next Bond. Only time will tell..................

Rome is where I discovered James and was immediately drawn to him, still am, the two DVD seasons are amongst my most treasured possessions and in Camelot he was so Mark Antony! Rome will always be my favourite but agree with marketa about Solomon Kane, great movie and James is fantastic in that one also. Others that are my favourites are The Mayor of Casterbridge, Vanity Fair, Beau Brummell, The Philanthropist, Women Talking Dirty, George and the Dragon, A Knights Tale (James part was very small in this but still outstanding) plus Metropolis and although there were some flaws in Diamonds, still loved James in that one but not so much the South African accent!) As I think we all agree, he is a phenomenal actor.

Maybe I should have added Photo finish,James got the award for this performance, but it's a shame that only one in his previous film career! He had long ago received a BAFTA award! For playing Marcus Antonius absolutely. I truly believe that James will be nominated next year for the Laurence Olivier Award for Peter Kyle in Flare Path, it is a shame that he still did not get any award, because he is also an excellent stage actor!

Wow, it seems that I have a lot to see... And this is fantastic! It is only sad that in Québec, it is not always easy to find European movies and TV series... So, I will look EVERYWHERE I can

Hi cathy, welcome to the sisterhood. I´would like to add Lighthouse and The Wedding tackle to the list, although a lot of sistas will protest. both films wouldn´t stand a chance to win an Oscar to put it mildly but James is looking so georgeous in them Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.us

How about we just list the movies that we don't like, and recommend the rest.. Two come to mind... A....The Wedding Tackle B....US TV Sitcom Manchild Personally, I say "never say never" re: James as Bond. Maybe there's be a moving out someday when Bond is 70...gee, I wonder what James is going to look like...hmmmmmmmmmmm
