Well hello there, I am the Grandma here with two great children, Clinton and Cristy and three absolutely adorable grandchildren, Emily, Ariana and Austin.
Right that's enough about that ;D I have been an ardent fan of James Purefoy since mid 2008 when Rome was shown here in Australia. His voice was the first thing that attracted me to him followed by just about everything else! James portrayal of Mark Antony was just outstanding, the best I have seen and in my opinion no-one will ever equal it let alone bypass it.
I could not believe I had not seen James before and I was so besotted that, firstly, I checked imdb to see what movies he had made and was knocked off my feet when I saw he was in A Knight's Tale, I mean I had seen that and couldn't believe I hadn't noticed him, so came to the conclusion I was blind and deaf at the time ;D Then I checked to see if there were any fansites out there so I could find out all about him and, low and behold, I found the broomstick forum (sorry!! just a bit mad about it being shut down without any prior notice). Then it was my lifes work to track down all the movies/tv shows that I could and I have seen most of them and own about 24. My second favourite is James as dashing and darling Donald in The Mayor of Casterbridge, but I also love Vanity Fair, Blackbeard, The Philanthropist, Beau Brummell, A Knights Tale, Metropolis, Women Talking Dirty, George and the Dragon, The Summit, Diamonds (James role not necessarily the show itself) etc etc etc. Oh and he was so cute in Jilting Joe! Just waiting (impatiently) for Solomon Kane
The more I found out about James the more I loved him, he is just so down to earth, modest and has time for his fans; he also does a lot for charity and absolutely adores his Son..he's number one in my book. Of course the fact that he is so handsome, sexy, charismatic, 'come to bed with me' eyes and expressions that just send me crazy are contributing factors too
Finally I must say that I have made so many terrific friends as well, which is very important to me, they are kind and caring and I had the pleasure of meeting althea and Mrs. P when I went to UK on holiday last year.
Here's to all the fun we are going to have and may it last a long long time.
I have run on long enough.....
