And if I rememder correctely he has done so before, there was no picture of the earlier one though. while searching the net I stumbled about this one, could it be by James?? Uploaded with ImageShack.usfor comparison the one that was on ebay Uploaded with ImageShack.us

thanks for the confirmation althea you are really the gold standard when it come to James. All I remember is that it had to be a very early post on the old forum, before posting pictures was possible Further update on the doodle, after deploying my research team , namely Miss Holly over on LJ (who really is the fountain of all knowledge regarding his loveliness) the answer is.... Doodled for National Doodle Day in March 2008 and auctioned on e.bay for £50 which was donated to - The Neurofibromatosis Association + Epilepsy Action. I am still looking through the archives on LJ for info on the Avatar photos. Have found the photos, but no info about them yet ! Have done 2004/05/06 and am halfway through 2007. There is a tagging system in place, but that all went to pot when the mod decided to make the journal friends/members only I'm actually quite enjoying re-reading all the old posts ;D Thank heavens the forum is run by lovely people who didn't close things down when the going got tough

I think his doodles are pretty cool! I'd buy one of them in a heartbeat if I had the cash ;D
From both of the doodles I've seen here, plus the self drawing he did for Action Aid's "Make Your Mark" campaign, I think he's really a good artist! I'd like to see him do some modern or abstract art someday - I'd bet it would be awesome to look at!
BTW, all this kinda reminds me of Tony Bennett, who does drawings and paintings (and has sold a few of them) when he's not performing in concert.
