I must admit, , my sis has turned me on to Zac Brown Band. I really enjoy Toes and Chicken Fried. The rest of the album was not really my cup of tea, as country is so not one of my faves. I am also listening to Ingrid Michaelson. I like her a lot.

I usually prefer classical music of the late Romantic and neo-Romantic periods, opera, etc., and easy listening. I especially love Rachmaninoff, Elgar, Tchaikovsky, Massenet (Werther is my favorite opera), Gounod, Vaughn Williams, Wagner.
My favorite singer is Thomas Hampson. I also really like Susan Graham, Placido Domingo, and Angela Georghiu, and some of the "crossover" stars like Josh Groban, Anthony Kearns, and Hayley Westenra, and guys like John Gary, who was really big in the 1960s (three-octave range, and phenomenal breath control) and Ed Ames. I used to like Sarah Brightman, but in recent years, she's been doing some really weird things vocally (scooping and covering the tone) and her voice no longer has that shimmer that it used to have. And once she did her video of the Ave Maria wearing nothing but a loin cloth and her hands, I was over her. Where do you go from there? A lap dance while singing the Lord's Prayer? If you want to do nudity, fine, but stay away from religious music while doing it.
And then there's Queen. Of course.
