Finally got to see The Three Musketeers. Entertaining, plenty of action, but this is a classic movie and plenty of versions have been done, don't like the modern version as much and would like to have seen more sword action on the ground rather than that battle on the airships. I like Matthew MacFadyen and Ray Stevenson, they were good, but would like to have seen an older, more mature d'Artagnan and a better actor, I've been spoilt by Gabriel Byrne's portrayal in The Man in the Iron Mask. As for Milla Jovovich, yuk, could have done without her and dodging those laser beams was weak, nowhere near as good as Catherine Zeta Jones in 'Entrapment' Having said all that it was, however, an ok movie

Have you ever heard of or seen Brighton rock? Didn't manage to see the above, waiting for it to be shown on tv ;D I watched a film on the box today 'London Boulevard' with Colin Farrell, Keira Knightly and Ray Winstone, quite violent, but entertaining, Ray Winstone is always good On the subject of Mr Cooper, Iris, Mrs P have you seen any of his films? It's most unusual for us to disagree over eye candy

Iris I have my Top 10 favourite actors, which never seems to change these days, but Mr Fassbender has crept up to around No. 6. James of course will always be No. 1. I don't think my expression about 'climbing up the ladder' is particularly Anglo/Aussie but it may be, I don't know, I have said it for years. Remember 'Teddy' you sent me Iris? When my granddaughter Ariana comes to stay she claims it as her own, just loves it, but I stopped her in her tracks when she asked if she could take it home ;D

I was quite taken with Simon Baker for a while, I think it was the whole 'suit' thing especially the waistcoat, I'm a sucker for waistcoats ............. .. With regard to Mr Fassbender I have loved him since watching 'HEX' many moons ago ;D Do you think we should revise our 'Top Ten' favourite actors lists I've never seen Bradley Cooper in a film. I've only seen my students drooling over him. I take that as a terrible signHmmm I used to have a similar aversion to Robert Pattinson- the 'Twilight' movies, until I saw him in a film called 'Remember me' well worth watching if comes on your movie channel I'm going to Spain in seven weeks time, and I can't stop eating, stupid or what !!! We're staying in a swanky hotel so have to dress for dinner
